And I love my life, but I've been where you're at. I was slogging away at this art business thing for more than a decade. Something on my mind right now a it's a dirty word. It's money. See, here's the thing. I believe that you are worthy. To make money, you are worthy to make money. You are worthy to make money. I'm gonna say it as many times as I have to until it sinks in. Your art, your voice, your guidance, your movement, your ideas.

Your talent, your words, who you are and what you do are of great value to the world, and you should be paid well for your talent. Stop minimizing your worth. Okay, so now that you're listening, I also want to tell you that you are of great value to the world, even if you don't. Make a business doing what you love.

Your art is worthy just as it is, but for everyone else who has taken the leap into creative entrepreneurship, I would love to talk to you today. I'd love to help you change the way you look at the value of what you do. Why is it so hard to accept that you not only can, but should make a great income doing something you love?

 I just noticed that there's so much guilt and shame around money and especially for artists and making art and creativity and putting that beauty into this world. And I, it needs a massive shift. And the only way to do it is to start talking about it. So that's why I'm bringing up the dirty word money today.

I think the first step is to believe that making money as a creative is not only a good thing to do, but it's necessary. The thing is money helps you. continue to do amazing work. It provides for you to actually continue to make the art that you dream of making. Whatever your art is, whether it's singing, dancing, writing, painting, sculpture, whatever your passion is that you're creating, that your gift and talent that you've brought to this world, you can't do it without money.

It costs money. To have the supplies just to be able to create. So, money helps you continue to do amazing work. It also creates security for you and your family. I mean, it's just the nature of the beast. We need money for a roof over our head, utilities, food, all the other necessities. So, we need money, it's just a fact of life for the security of you and your family.

But it's more than just that. You know, When you have money, you can use it to support important causes and charities. It also helps other people in earning an income as you find support in your journey. Like hiring some help or paying for small business art supplies. Or the software programs. I heard the other day that on the road to becoming a millionaire, you can't help but making other people millionaires because it all goes around.

The money comes through you, passes through you and goes on to be spent and shared and the abundance continues. The housekeeper. That you hire the, that's from a minority country, all women owned or your new virtual assistant and her family that are now supporting you in your business now have a, an incredible income as you're making money, the money comes through you and supports other people.

Whether it's, you know, the dance instructor for your kids, school lessons, or the garden supplies you bought down the street of the little garden shed, you know, all these little things that we do, all of the big things that we do, the trips we take, the Airbnb hosts that you just paid for, all the money comes and passes right through us.

So your income helps create other people's income. Isn't it amazing how that works? Have you ever even thought of it that way? So the more money you make, the more other people benefit from that. It fulfills dreams. That's what, what money can do for you. I know money isn't everything, but it is certainly almost everything if you don't have it.

And right now, more than ever, it's on everyone's mind. Because we may be in another one of those precarious economies, you know, and feeling secure and another rocky economy means not only having control over your ability to make money, but believing you are worth it, believing that what you do is needed in this world.

And if you ever stop and think that. Being an artist or being a creative isn't as important as say, being a nurse or a school teacher. I'm here to tell you, that's not true. I have dozens, if not hundreds of stories of people who have benefited from the art I've made, the classes I've made, the coaching that I've put out into this world, the podcast, the social media posts, every little bit of the business that I've created, I know goes on to support other people and nurture them with beauty.

With words of encouragement, with life changing education that gives them hope and belief that they can create too. So you as an artist are worthy. What you do and what you create, the words that you speak, the writing that you share, the songs that you sing. Whatever it is that you create in this world, the world can't go on without it.

Otherwise, why do we even build this world that we're in if it's not for the beauty of creation of, of art and music and dance and theater and writing and beautiful storytelling? These are the things that we live for. So what you're doing is out. Absolutely important, essential in this world and making money doing it makes it even more amazing because you're no longer beholden to outside forces for how you make an income.

You have more control over your daily life, over your choices, over how you show up, how you live with values and abundance on a daily basis. It's on your terms and in your way, and I can't even begin to tell you how much this has radically shifted my life and my children's life, and my husband's life, and even my extended family, my friends, and the little amazing team that I've built around me as I've built this beautiful little business.

Anyhow, I'm gonna say that I could go on and if we're going to hit this year full of great energy, we have to shift our mindset around artists earning extraordinary incomes. I'm not talking about a few hundred extra bucks. I'm talking about thousands of dollars a month. Tens of thousands of dollars a month.

Why not? Why not that much abundance? Because with your good heart and your creativity and your love and your generosity in this world, if you're making that kind of money, it's just like rain falling on flowers. It's just more the trees grow with full ripe fruit when it falls on the goodness that you already have in this world.

I believe that completely. I also believe that there's abundance in this world. Our natural state is abundance. So maybe I'm sounding a little too

hopeful and idyllic and dreamland, but I've seen it and I've seen it over and over again. I can see how much it changes people's lives. And I really don't want you to suffer anymore. I don't want you to doubt yourself anymore. I want you to believe that you are worthy and I want to help you. So. We've got this podcast here.

And if you go back and you listen to many of the previous episodes, I give a lot of great advice on how to get your business started, what you need. And as moving forward, I'm going to continue to do that. I want to give you the kind of support you need just getting started. By showing up and talking to you, That's what Build It Remarkable is all about I have something really special that I've put together and and this is something that I've been dreaming up for the last couple of years.

So it's very, Almost a little bit nervous for me and I have to eat all the words that I just said to you and remind myself I am worthy these big dreams these big hopes and the ways that I'd like to be able to connect with people and Support you support your creativity support you going from having an idea that you've built Put out into this world, maybe you've made a course, maybe you've been trying to do workshops or coaching or some sort of amazing creative program and you know you have it in you.

You've been putting these out here and maybe you're making a few hundred dollars, maybe you're even making a few thousand dollars already and you're like, this is great, but why am I not making the big bucks yet? Maybe you haven't even realized that you can make the big bucks. Maybe that switch needs to flip in your head so that you get it.

But this isn't. Something to make a little extra cash, that the work you're doing can be substantial, as in making as much as a doctor, as in becoming a millionaire. And if you think that I'm just saying these things in wild speculation, I am here to tell you it is possible. I am living proof. Many of my friends in the art world are living proof that you can build a That kind of profitable business 6 figures is not out of reach.

Multiple 6 figures is not out of reach. So if you've started a business as a creative entrepreneur, it might be your mindset that's holding you back. It might also be that you don't have the kind of knowledge you need to market your business. And I know that I see this over and over again. Good friends of mine who have really great business, but the part that they get stuck at.

Is the marketing, the communication, the branding, the strategy, how to make it grow, how to attract more perfect, dreamy customers. I'm not here to teach you how to sell your art. I'm here to teach you how to build a remarkable business, the foundation and everything up from there.

The brand strategy, the marketing, the aligned offer, the email ecosystem, how to sell your work, how to sell your courses, how to sell your coaching, how to sell your workshops or your summits or your traveling abroad or any of the 100 ways to make money as an artist. Without selling your art, thinking outside of the box.

So we are going to be designing or reimagining your ideal values driven business, we'll be identifying a marketing to your ideal client in a way that is authentic to you using social media or any one of the other amazing tools that are out there, creating irresistible offers that leave your customers raving.

Tech advice, of course, which platform software and systems you need and when to implement, , of course, overcoming mindset and fear blocks, as we've already been talking about here on this episode. So hopefully you'll be able to step into your new role with confidence. I'm also a big proponent 

on helping you avoid overwhelm, by setting some expectations and schedules well in advance of what you need to do to be successful. I'm also becoming really good at creating systems and processes that are easy to repeat and delegate so that the business doesn't overtake your life and you can actually be in the flow more often.

Because I can tell you. Sometimes it feels like you're all alone in what you're doing. So when you are surrounded by other ambitious, smart, creative, talented entrepreneurs, it's going to make a huge difference to your success. I can just tell you that that's made all the difference to me is to be able to surround myself by around other people who are doing what I'm doing.

So we're going to be creating the right kind of networking for that, so that you can collaborate, so that you can build friends, so you can get different perspectives, because my voice is not the only voice. 

I know that this is meant to be, I know that it's going to be an amazing program and I know that the right creative businesses are just sitting there waiting to catch fire with this.

Momentum to, to be lit up, to see the possibility and, and you know what? To make money. We have a purpose to help others. We have a purpose to make a big impact in this world, but we can't do it without the income. And I want to be able to help you do that.
